Bass-baritone David Pittsinger is triply accomplished, as at home in opera and on the concert platform as he is music theatre. Among the distinguished venues where he has performed are the Metropolitan and Los Angeles Operas, the Chatelet in Paris, the Massimo in Palermo, the Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires and with the New York Philharmonic and the Houston Symphony. Star turns in South Pacific, The Sound of Music, The Man of La Mancha and Sweeney Todd suggest his extraordinary versatility.

Frequent Salt Marsh Opera Guild lecturer, James Kuslan, will interview Mr Pittsinger about what it is like to enjoy a busy performing career and what it takes to keep a life in music up and running. Simon Holt, Founder and Executive Director of Salt Marsh Opera, accompanies Mr Pittsinger in selections which will include opera, Lieder and Broadway from the singer’s vast repertoire.
